Carefully examine the three diagrams below for optimal use of your decorative logs. To begin, place a first circle of logs around the burner opening (1). Next, arrange the remaining logs on top of the first circle (2), leaving enough space to easily access the safety lighter. In general, avoid any direct contact between the logs and the flames for added safety.

Warnings

Your decorative logs will be located near the hottest part of your ethanol fireplace, so it’s important to take precautions to avoid risks. Here’s what not to do:

• A/ Do not touch the logs while the burner is on, as they may be hot and cause burns.
• B/ Do not remove or add logs while the fire is burning. Also, avoid using real wood.
• C/ Do not place anything directly on the burner that could come into contact with the flames, as this could interfere with the operation of your ethanol fireplace.

Similarly, do not blow on a burning burner, and avoid using conventional matches or lighters: these items are too short to safely light your fireplace.
