Argos

The Argos model doesn’t meet traditional criteria when it comes to ethanol: here, the lack of a fire screen and a relatively low profile—similar tothe Dublin model —indicate a specific intended use:installation in a renovated fireplace. In fact, many of you contact us to say that you no longer wish to use your old fireplace but would like to keep it. This is perfectly understandable, as mantels are sometimes antique pieces that add a certain charm to your home. With these low-profile models, you have an effective and hassle-free way to enjoy beautiful fires at a lower cost.
It’s therefore possible to blend the modern with the traditional thanks to this model with its straight, clean lines, which will blend seamlessly into the background while bringing the warmth your living room and its wood-burning fireplace have been missing.

Wood vs. Ethanol

You might be tempted to think that a model like the one shown here wouldn’t provide a substantial amount of heat—but that’s not true! Argos is equipped with a 3 kW ethanol fireplace. That’s more than enough power for a standard-sized room. You also have the option—when installing it inside an existing fireplace—to seal off the flue that carries away combustion byproducts. This is because ethanol doesn’t require such a flue. The heat produced is then fully released into the room, which will only improve the room’s insulation.
